一、教材分析
本单元的主题是We love animals,涉及“人与自然”主题范畴。子主题内容为“常见的动物，动物的特征和生活环境”。本课为第四单元第四课时：Part B Let’s talk。本课通过Mike和妹妹一起去动物园的马戏团看表演的情景，学习如何询问远处的动物（或其他事物） 以及对喜欢的事物表达赞赏或欣赏。通过有趣的情景引导学生发现动物的可爱之处，培养学生保护动物的意识，并在实际行动中爱护身边的动物。
二、教学目标
1. 学生能理解对话大意；能在具体语境中运用句型What’s that? It’s a/an...
2. 学生能区分清this和that在远近用法上的不同。
3. 学生能听懂、会说常用的感叹句“Cool! Look! Guess!”,并在实际情景中正确使用。
4. 学生能积极参与课堂活动，大胆用英语进行交流；能与他人合作完成学习任务。
5. 学生能对陕西特有的秦岭四宝感兴趣，有爱护动物的意识。
三、教学重难点
（一）教学重点

2. 能理解对话内容，并能准确朗读和对话。
（二）教学难点
1. 能够在语境中运用本单元语言介绍、描述动物。
2. 创编新对话，并进行合作表演，提升语言应用能力。

情境教学法，对话教学法及任务教学法。
六、教学过程
（一）Warm up
1. Greeting.
2. Sing a song. The animal song.
设计意图：通过热身歌曲，调动学生学习的热情，为课程学习做铺垫。
（二）Lead in
1. Free talk.

T: Where can you see animals?
Ss: At the zoo.
T: Mike and his sister are at the zoo. Let’s go to the zoo.

2. Watch a video about animals.

3. Guess the riddles.
设计意图：创设去秦岭野生动物园参观的情景，为后续课程内容做铺垫。

设计意图：提升学生英语观察图片的能力，为对话学习做铺垫。

设计意图：提升学生的口语表达能力和合作能力。
