一、教材分析

本节课是《新标准英语》一年级起点第四册第一模块第一单元What's the weather like?的第一课时,是一篇新授课。主要内容是学习有关形容天气的单词,及询问天气状况的交际用语。具体的教学内容是与天气有关的单词:hot, sunny, raining, cold, windy. 具体功能句型是询问有关天气的交际用语:What’s the weather like?  It’s sunny/raining/hot/ cold /windy.

本模块中涉及到的天气问题,在上学期曾经接触过相关的知识,比如说四个季节:springsummerautumnwinter, 还有hotwarmcoolcold等,通过这些单词可以引出所学的新知识:What’s the weather like? It’s ……从而从旧知过渡到新知,降低了学生学习的难度。

二、学情分析

本课的教学对象是二年级的学生。二年级的学生活泼好动,勇于开口模仿,而且他们接触英语不久,对英语有着浓厚的兴趣。通过一年半的学习,学生已经掌握了一些基本的句型和单词,能够说一些简单的问候语和对话,学生还能听懂一些课堂用语并且有秩序地进行教学游戏。但学生的年龄小,控制能力差,有意注意时间短,因此这节课我充分利用信息技术手段将所学内容与现实生活建立紧密联系,激发学生学习兴趣,提高学生运用语言的能力,让学生在轻松愉快的气氛中学习英语。

教学目标

(一)知识目标

掌握并能运用单词 “weather”及句型 “ What’s the weather like? ”“ It’s …”

(二)技能目标

能运用所学语言知识在创设的情境中进行熟练的交际,并在此基础上将其应用于日常生活之中。

(三)情感目标

激发学生学习英语的兴趣,帮助学生树立学好英语的信心,增强学生的参与意识,引导学生积极与他人合作,共同完成学习任务,并在成功中体会英语学习的乐趣。

四、教学重点和难点

1. 教学重点

1)学习有关weather的单词及其正确读音如:weather, sunny, hot, windy, rainy, cloudy, snowy等单词.

2)学习询问具体城市的天气情况的句型如:What's the weather like? It’s sunny/hot/windy/cool/rainy/raining.等表达天气的句型。

2. 教学难点

(1)能够掌握四会单词的正确读音,如课文中出现的sunny, windy, cap, sofa, street, rain, snow,ski。特别强调 “th”在单词“weather”中的发音。

(2)能够结合所学的重点单词和句型询问和描述城市的天气情况,如:What's the weather like in Beijing/Harbin/Fuzhou/Sanya?

 It’s sunny and hot/windy and cool./rainy but warm.

(3)学生通过教师的指导做一个简单的weather report

教师准备:电脑、多媒体课件、教学光盘、教师单词卡片、帽子道具、评价图片奖励贴纸等

学生准备:创新天气转盘学具制作(提前制作好)

1. 转盘天气学具:

    使用方法:学生转动天气转盘学具,然后根据天气变化,说出有关天气的英文句子。

    

  

 

七、教学过程

 Step I. Greeting and Warming up:

1. Listen and sing a song : “Weather”

TNow let's listen and try to sing a song“Weather”

 

 

设计意图:唱一首与所学天气“Weather”有关联的英语歌曲,既能促使学生好上英语课的心理准备,又可以唤起学生脑海中的知识积存,调动学生的学习兴趣。

2. Talk about “weather” with a travel video

T: Great, you sing so beautifully. So this song is about “Weather”

Today our topic is “weather”. Today we will learn Module 1 Unit 1 What’s the weather like?  

T: Now please watch a video about my travel.So what’s the weather like there?

S: It's sunny/hot/windy/cloudy...

【设计意图:在观看老师旅行视频过程中,引出本节课的主题“weather”,并且进步询问学生What's the weather like todayIt's...让学生尝试利用重点句型进行问答,教师在学生回答问题的过程中进行引导和指正。教学过程中强调weather“th”的发音like 在不同情景中的意思,帮助学生深入理解What's the weather like ?的含义。

T: Now open your book to page 2, let’s listen and chant with Amy.

T: What’s the weather like  

SIt's hot and sunny.

S: It’s cold and windy.

【设计意图:学习listenchant部分,首先进行初步感知chant,第二遍逐句学习,第三遍集体唱和做动作。重点教授It's hot and sunny. It's cold and windy部分。】

 

Task 2Part 2

1. Listen and answer questions

Q1:“What’s the weather like ? ”in the video.

T: Now please look at the picture, Sam and Amy are talking about weather, today is sunny, so they want to go to the park, But when they go out, they meet special thingsdo you want to know what happened to themDo you want to know the weather in the videoNow let’s listen and watch the video and think about “What’s the weather like ? ”in the video.

2.Ask and answer questions

Q1:What’s the weather like in picture 2 ?

Ss: It’s hot and sunny. The weather looks so good. So they want to go to the park.

T: But when they are in the street, what happened?

SsIt’s windy now. The wind blows Amy’s cap away.

T: Look at them, are Amy and Sam happy or not? Yes, they are angry about the bad weather.

T: Is it raining?

SsNo, it isn’t. It’s not raining, Daming is watering the flower.

 

【设计意图:利用图片环游法讲述本课重点内容:sunny/windy/raining和重点句型帮助学生掌握本节课的关键部分内容。】

2. Read together

TBoys you are  Samplease stand up. Girlsyou are Amyplease sit down.

【设计意图:再次回归课本,熟悉课本,再次练习听力,巩固重点单词和句型出示本节课重点单词。听、指、读课文。学生分成男女生朗读课文,练习听力、口语,模仿发音。

Step Ⅳ.Practice

1.Role-play

【设计意图:学生通过课文片段进行有感情的表演,使学生体会到AmySam在情感上的变化,体会天气带给人们情绪上的影响。表演环节让学生感到英文课堂的趣味性和灵动性。】

2.Play a guessing game

T: Look at the window and can you tell me“what’s the weather like

【设计意图:教师播放PPT,出现天气的单词,复习重点句型what's the weather like?和It's...快速说出天气的小组加分。】

 

3.Show time

Task 1: Use the leaning tool to practice the key words.

Now please practice the key sentences with your learning tool in pairs.

 

 

设计意图:每两个学生使用一个天气转盘学具,和故事片段的表演练习本节课的重点单词和句型,然后请学生上台展示对话内容。此处展示环节主要是为了进一步培养小学生对于英语的兴趣,利用学具的使用,增加英语课堂的趣味性,深入课文情景,从而体会天气的变化多端,加深学生对于英语重难点知识的突破。

设计意图:教师设定情景教学,带着学生去哈尔滨,北京,福州,海口旅行,展示特定的画面,让学生拓展句型:What's the weather like in Harbin/Beijing/Fuzhou/Haikou

2.Make a simple weather report

T: Talk about the weather in different places.Look at this pictureyou can make a weather report like me. This is my weather reportCan you make your own weather reportNow try to practice with your partner. Later you can come here to show your report.

设计意图:给学生展示如何播报天气预报,让学生学会知识的迁移与运用,简短的天气预报,让学生们体会到学习的成就感和快乐。此处任务仅要求部分学生掌握,下节课展示成果

设计意图:此次二年级作业设计分成必做和选做,体现了任务分层和梯度,适应不同学生的水平,作业设计丰富多样,体现了新课标对学生听、说、唱、演的综合素养培养。】
